Root Canal? 3D Printing to the Rescue

For those of you out there who have been subjected to a root canal… Ever wonder what could possibly make the experience better?

How about preserving your tooth’s natural blood and nerve supply, instead of destroying it?

A root canal basically renders your tooth lifeless. It’s there. But it’s dead. And more likely to break as you age.

Giant KUDOS to Professor Luiz Bertassoni and his team at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. Inspired by 3D bio-printing, they have developed a way to create blood vessels to restore functionality to a problem tooth.  This is a game changer in the field of dentistry.  Though sadly too late for my molars.
