The CAP Project

Today is my artificial hip’s 16th anniversary.  I cannot imagine what I would have endured the past 16 years had I not had the surgery.  To say I’m grateful for medical innovation is an understatement.  So, when I run across stories like these, I rejoice as if they’re my own.

Toucan receives a 3D printed beak

Bald eagle gets a 3D printed prosthetic bone after getting shot in leg

Penguin is fitted with 3D printed foot

No doubt these stories inspired the folks behind The CAP Project.  CAP stands for “Computer Aided Pets.”  It’s a global community of animal-loving 3D printing enthusiasts.  They’re bringing together like-minded people all over the world to find solutions for animals in need.

The CAP Project already has six chapters across the globe.  If you’d like to start your own chapter, get involved, or learn more, then visit their website to see what they’re up to.
